Helichrysum augustifolium. Also known as "everlasting flowers." The plant grows wild
and is also cultivated in Mediterranean countries. Essence of helichrysum is obtained through steam distillation of dried flowers and using volatile solvents. Used in chypre,
floral, and amber perfumes.

Characteristics: fruity, syrupy, nutty, honey-flavored, and tobacco-scented.
